Project Manager (Contract)

Punchcut is looking for a Project Manager to join our team on a contract basis. You should have a strong understanding of how to lead a team of designers through a project from pre-planning to wrap-up. You have at least 3 years of relevant project management experience in a professional services setting and are excited to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, creative agency environment.


The Project Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget while exceeding client expectations.

  • Act as the main point of contact between Punchcut and clients, setting expectations and facilitating clear and open lines of communication

  • Manage competing priorities simultaneously

  • Communicate and coordinate across multiple disciplines

  • Manage the project scope, budget, timeline, and risks

  • Monitor and guide workflow and tasks; set daily, weekly, and long-term project goals and report status


  • Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrable history of delivering projects on time and within budget

  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing both large- and small- scale interactive, web, mobile, or UX/product design projects

  • Ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop work plans and facilitate meetings

  • Excellent estimating, scheduling & budgeting skills

  • Ability to work independently and proactively

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the full Google Suite, Keynote, MS Office, and various meeting software (Zoom, GoToMeeting, Skype, Meet)

  • Excellent team-building, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills

  • Enthusiasm, positive energy and sense of humor


  • Experience working in an agency environment

  • Experience in the design and technology sectors

  • Proficiency in design software such as Sketch, Figma, Principle, or Adobe CS
