User Researcher - Contract
Punchcut is looking for a UX Researcher to join our team doing remote research. You should have a strong understanding of user-centered design and be comfortable working independently and collaboratively. You’re well-versed in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies: you’ve created test plans and screeners, recruited participants, moderated sessions, and analyzed results. You love creating actionable insights and opportunities and are able to persuasively tell the story about the research.
Methods Overview

Requirements
- Identify key research goal and key questions
- Create research plans, screeners, and interview/testing discussion guides
- Plan and develop research activities (e.g., card sorting, participatory design, facilitating prototypes, user testing exercises, etc)
- Moderate interviews
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize data and findings
- Generate insights and opportunities
- Collaborate with other researchers, designers, and product managers
Qualifications
- 3-5 years performing user research professionally (contextual inquiry, usability testing, etc.) post-college.
- Undergraduate degree in Psychology, Human Factors, Anthropology, or HCI, and/or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree is a plus.

- Creating, planning, executing quantitative studies
- Interaction or visual design
